Gordon "Skip" Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born on December 31, 1924 and passed away February 3, 2013. She was born in Sulligent, AL and raised in Hamilton, AL. Mrs. Davis was a member of Highland Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Janice Townsend Sunday school class. She was a retired beautician and an associate with Walmart for seven years.. Mrs. Davis loved her grandchildren and great- grandchildren and was known by Grandmother or Gigi. She attended school up until the 10th grade and had to quit school to go to work and raise her family. With her dedication to education, she received her GED at the age of 72. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gordon Davis; parents, Bob and Lillie Sullins; siblings, Louise Cantrell, Pauline Spivey, Bobby Sullins, Doris Powless, Thomas Sullins, and Charles Sullins. Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, Jake Taylor and wife Hilda; grandchildren, Stacey Taylor, and Tim Taylor and wife Kim; two great-grandchildren, Wes and Gracie; brother, Everette Sullins of Hamilton, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Memorials may be made to the Hamilton-Sullins Historical Society at P.O. Box 99 Hamilton, Alabama 35370 or the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to thank Connie Culpepper, Betty Kennedy and Staff at Stoneybrook and Louisiana Hospice for their wonderful care of Mrs. Davis.
