Greg Antley officiating and Neil Oldham delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Acree Cemetery, Point, LA under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Then again Saturday at Cypress Street Church of God from 1:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM. Mrs. Davis was born on November 18, 1930 in Point, LA to the union of her parents, Ford and Ava Smith Antley and passed from this life on January 14, 2015 at West Monroe Guest House, West Monroe. She enjoyed gardening while she had opportunity. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Smith Antley, Aubrey Antley and Huey Antley; and sisters: Grace Pixey and Betty Tucker. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Gary Davis; two sons: Dennis Davis and Joe Davis all of Monroe; daughter, Sherry Thurmon of Sterlington; brothers: Victor Antley and wife, Lucille of Baton Rouge and Billy Antley and wife, Ivie of Point; granddaughters: Amanda Thurmon and Ashley Burroughs and husband, Josh who are expecting her first great-grandson April 2015; special niece, Lynn Magee and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Pallbearers will be Greg Thompson, Gene Terral, Lane Magee, Luke Magee, Marvin Wilhite and Keith Antley. Honorary pallbearers will be James Vickery, Marvin McConnell and Larry Hogue. The family would like to express their thanks to the doctors, nurses, employees and staff at West Monroe Guest House for their kindness, love and support shown to Mrs. Davis.
