Mrs. Davis went to her eternal home surrounded by he her family on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the age of 96. Mrs. Davis was born on August 20, 1920 in Liddieville, Louisiana and passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hardy and Nettie Johnston, her husband, William Hamilton Davis, Jr., her daughter, Carolyn Davis Donelson, her brothers, Billy Ray Johnston and Bud Bud Johnston; her sisters, Minnie Johnston Betts and Addie Johnston Massey. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker who was a faithful member of the First Baptist Ch Church in Winnsboro, LA. Through the years, she enjoyed the relationships and fe fellowship she enjoyed with members of her Sunday school class and church fa family. She was a strong Christian woman who practiced her faith and instilled in in her family a love of God. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family, and sp spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Davis Moses and son-in-law Owen, son-in-law, Stephen H. law, Stephen H. Donelson, granddaughter, Leigh Moses, grandsons, Brent Moses (Margaret) and Stephen Moses (Samantha); great-grandchildren, Addison Moses, Emma Moses, and Camille Moses, sister-in-law, Bobbie Johnston Roland, and sister, Allie Mayers and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ricky Johnston, Ronnie Mayers, Alan Mayers, Jeff Johnston, Jo John Suggs, and Jerry Leach. The family would like to thank the staff of Avalon Rehabilitation Facility for their special love and support of our mother and grandmother through the years. They were as special to her as she was to them, and they treated her like their family. The family would also like to thank Compassus Hospice. The family will receive friends at 1:00 at Mulhearn Funeral Home and a family burial burial will be held in the Ogden Cemetery in Winnsboro, LA following the servic service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, Loui Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, or St. Jude's.
