W.T DEAN

W. T. Dean Funeral services for Mr. W. T. Dean, 78, of Rocky Branch will be 
2:00 PM, Saturday, Oct. 1st at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Zach Dasher 
officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery. Arrangements are under the 
direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Mr. Dean, a retired pipeline diesel 
mechanic, died September 29, 2011. He was a member of Rocky Branch Church of 
Christ, a member of the VFW, an U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a 
member of the International Union of Pipeline Engineers. He was an avid 
fisherman and enjoyed reading and gardening. W. T. loved his family and having 
kids around the house. Preceding him in death was his wife of 55 years, Lois 
Dean; parents, Jord Dean and Verda Dean Gates and 1 brother, Jurd Dean. Left 
to cherish his memory is his daughter, Debbie Brown & husband, Andy of 
Farmerville; 1 brother, James Gates & wife, Ruby of Rocky Branch; 4 
grandchildren: Eric Vidrine, Jordan Vidrine, Melissa Brown and Matthew Brown; 
2 step brothers: Jack Gates & Raymond Gates; 2 step sisters: Mary Lou Bollier 
and Shirley Moncrief and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. 
Pallbearers are Kerry Freeman, Erwin Freeman, Ronnie Rose, Jurd Dean, Jr., 
Billy Joe Dean and Andy Brown. Visitation will be one hour prior to the 
service on Saturday at Farrar Funeral Home. Thanks to the staff of Farmerville 
Nursing & Rehab for taking such good care of Daddy these past 2 years. We 
would also like to thank Dr. Unkel, Dr. Warrick and their staff at Union 
General Hospital.
