JOHN CARLTON DEMENT

A memorial service will be held for John "Jack" Carlton Dement' of West 
Monroe, Louisiana on the morning of Wednesday, December 30th at 10:00 A.M. in 
the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe

John Dement was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 13, 1940 to the late 
John and Priscilla Dement. He entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, 
Jesus Christ, on December 27, 2015.

John married Colleen Ellsworth of Bergland, Michigan on March 9, 1965. He is 
survived by their children, David Dement and Jennie Head; grandchildren, Cody 
Dement, Caleb Dement and wife Taylor, Kendall Head, and Jackson Head; great-
grandchildren, Waylon and Addisyn Dement and his brother, Dave Dement of Rudy, 
AR.

After John was honorably discharged from the Air Force, he was employed with 
Kraft Foods. Before retiring, after more than forty years, he covered sales 
across Northeast Louisiana earning several performance based awards.

John was highly devoted to his community and his work with his home church, 
Highland Presbyterian, of which he was a member for forty-six years. He served 
as deacon, Sunday school teacher, elder, and also participated in missions. .

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of wing 
three at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans' Home: Phyllis, Morgan, and Desiree 
and Tina at Premier Hospice, in addition much heartfelt gratitude to our dear 
Anna Brown.
