SAMMY P. DENNARD

Services for Mr. Sammy P. Dennard, 72, of Winnsboro, LA will be 2 PM Thursday, 
May 1, 2014 will be at Young's Community Chapel in Winnsboro, LA with Bro. 
Karl Huff and Rev. Troy J. Dennard officiating, interment and Masonic Services 
to follow at Crowville Masonic Cemetery, Crowville, LA under the direction of 
Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home-Winnsboro, LA.

Sammy was a member of Winnsboro Church of Christ. He was a very accomplished 
letter pressman and a Master Foil Stamp printer in the printing Industry 
receiving numerous state and national award's, he worked for Tom Gates 
Printing, American printing and retired from Century Printing. A 32 degree 
Scottish Rite Mason and was a member and Past Master of Crowville Lodge # 370 
and Winnsboro Lodge # 246, a member of Monroe Scottish Rite Bodies and a Noble 
of Barak Shrine Monroe of which he served as Chaplin for many years. He worked 
tirelessly selling ICEE's, Cracker Jacks and programs at many a Barak Shrine 
Circus, as well as selling Vidalia Onions in the area just for the joy of 
helping the children of the Shrine Hospitals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Gladys Ruth Dennard, and a 
brother Floyd Howard Dennard.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Kittie Dennard of Winnsboro, LA; 
daughter Tammy Dennard, son, Todd DeMars both of Porter, TX and Troy J. 
Dennard and his wife Joann of Rayville, LA; four sisters, Sarah Hines of Baton 
Rouge, LA, Jet Negas and her husband Ted of Marietta, GA, Sandra Stark and her 
husband Jim of Rome, GA, and Drenda Dennard of Blue Ridge, GA and a brother 
Harry Dennard and his wife Sandra of Tallahssee, FL, grandchildren, Austin 
Hall, Tiffany DeMars Kent and her husband James, Mica Hall Bibb and her 
husband Matt, Blake Dennard, Jon Anthony Merriett, and one great grand on the 
way, Good friend and Fishing and hunting buddy David Earl Parker as well as 
numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Austin Hall, Blake Dennard, Richard Hines, Billy Maxie, 
Tommy Martin, Tim Pylant, Richard Mahoney and Leo Thornhill.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his Brother Masons and Shriners.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday and 1 PM until service time Thursday 
at the funeral home.
