BETTY ANNITA DEMOSS DENOVA

Betty Annita DeMoss Denova, 71, died peacefully on February 15th at home in 
Fort Myers, Florida after a brief struggle with cancer. Betty was born August 
6, 1941, in Monroe, Louisiana, the daughter of Jay Willis DeMoss and Alvis 
Y'Vonne Smith.

Betty was a loving and caring mother. She thoroughly enjoyed both traveling and 
the outdoors. She visited Canada, Israel and Mexico on numerous occasions. Her 
favorite travel was done in the United States. She loved to take the R.V. and 
stop for periods of time planting flower and vegetable gardens along the way. 
She took great joy in finding a lake or stream in which she could fish an 
afternoon away. She made lifelong friends everywhere she went. Family and 
friends were her passion and delight. 

Betty is survived by her brother, Ronnie DeMoss, of West Monroe, LA; Four 
loving daughters, Debbie Walters and her fiance Michael Muse of Fort Myers, FL; 
Pamela Slaughter and her husband Robert Slaughter of West Monroe, LA; Melissa 
Flowers and her husband David Flowers of Moorehaven, FL; and Paige Ederer and 
her husband Joe Ederer of Fort Myers, FL; 9 grandchildren and 3 great 
grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and close friends.

Betty requested her body to be donated to research in hope she would have a 
small part in the search for a cure.

A memorial service is planned in celebration of Betty's life at Kiroli Park 
Lodge in West Monroe, LA on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 
p.m. The family wishes to invite her numerous loving relatives and friends to 
attend.
