Charles Headrick officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Our beloved Dad, Granddad and Great-granddad or as he was known by his Grandchildren, "PaPa" was born May 27, 1924 and entered his Heavenly home on Monday, February 3, 2014. He was enrolled at Louisiana Tech University when World War II began and enlisted in the Navy where he served as a radio operator. Due to his aptitude with Morse Code, he was transferred to the Naval Intelligence Unit to assist with the U-Boat Threat in the Atlantic. He finished his tour in Guam and after the war finished his degree in Civil Engineering at Louisiana Tech University. Mr. DeVille was a Professional engineer and land surveyor. He was active in ham radio and kept several contacts in numerous countries. He was a long-time member of College Place Baptist Church. Mr. DeVille was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marty DeVille, his parents, Butler and Emma Rikard DeVille, brother, Bill DeVille and sister Oleda Bilger. Survivors include his children, Roger DeVille and wife Dianna, Janet Jones and husband Herschel, and Brian DeVille and wife Kelly. He has 10 grandchildren: Jessica Pearce and husband Barry, Emily Martin and husband R. B., Christopher Jones and wife Melinda, Jeremy Jones and wife Leah, Drew DeVille and wife Brooke, Joey DeVille, Greg DeVille, Caroline DeVille, Luke DeVille and Elizabeth DeVille. He also has 6 great grandchildren: Savannah Jones, Bella Jones, Jennah Jones, Abbi Jones, Jett Jones and Michael DeVille and sisters, Bessie Watson and Murl Hill. Pallbearers will be his 6 grandsons. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The Lottie Moon Fund, The Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or a memorial of your choice.
