Services for Dr. Manmohan Singh Dhaliwal, age 85, of Monroe, LA will be held 
from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home 
of Monroe, LA.

Dr. Manmohan Singh Dhaliwal was born in Samundari, Lyallpur, India in 1925. 
His family settled in Bhadaur, Punjab, India. Dr. Dhaliwal passed away June 
21, 2010.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Dr. Kailash K Dhaliwal, son's 
Mahinderpal (Paul) and his wife Tisa, Karminderpal (Karl), and his wife 
Sookham, grandchildren, Ronica, Jaspreet, Kristen, Paul, Simran, Arjun, and 
Neel Dhaliwal, all of Monroe; as well as his loving brother's Dr. Amrik S. 
Dhaliwal of New Jersey, Gurdip S. Dhaliwal of Los Angeles, Ca; as well as 
various loving nieces and nephews.

Dr. Dhaliwal did his BA from Lyallpur college, B.Ed and MA from Delhi 
University. In 1965 he came to Utah State University, Logan to do his PhD.d 
From 1967 until his retirement in 1993, he was a professor at Alcorn State 
University, He retired and settled in Monroe to be closer to his sons.

He was well loved and was always happy with life. He was eager to help 
everyone. He spent 3 months in his village in Punjab early this year and loved 
each moment of it.
