DIXON Funeral services for Jean S. Dixon, 86 of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Hughes and Rev. Erby Burgess officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mrs. Dixon passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Faithful Friends Sunday School Class, Monroe Literary Club, and the PEO. Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Dixon, Jr. Survivors include her five daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Jim Wriska, Linda and Dan Sigler, Julia and Robert Boyce, Nancy and Randy Farmer, and Deborah and Craig Hamby; sister, Martha Ann Lacy; grandchildren, Nathan and Pam Jowers, Dixon and Liz Jowers, Brian Sigler, Robert and Lauren Boyce, Jr., Chris and Juliet Boyce, Meghan and Cooper Hurst, Brittany and Rick Davis, Madalyn Dodson, Seth and Victoria Hamby, Jacob Hamby, and Sarah Hamby; fourteen great grandchildren, Javan, Joshua, Jared, and Jaxton Jowers, Caleb and Mia Jowers, Alden and Matthew Boyce, Leighton, Landry, and Nolan Boyce, CJ Boyce, Chloe Hamby, and Milo Davis. Pallbearers will be Nathan Jowers, Brian Sigler, Dixon Jowers, Robert Boyce, Jr., Christopher Boyce, Seth Hamby, and Jacob Hamby. Honorary pallbearers will be the Faithful Friends Sunday School Class. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Dean Stockstill for his loving care and to Sue Lomax for her special friendship.
