MARY ELAINE DOUGLAS

Funeral services for Mary Elaine Douglas, 94, of Monroe, will be held at 
2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Rev. 
Richard Norsworthy officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial 
Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington 
Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Douglas died Saturday, October 11, 2014, at St. Francis Medical Center. 
She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She worked at the Riverside 
Nursing Home as a LPN for over 30 years. She helped strangers in need and 
will be remembered as the most giving and selfless person that would do 
anything in the world for anybody.

Mrs. Douglas was preceded in death by her parents, Onezime Soileau and 
Alexandrine Vidrine Soileau; husband, Hosea Douglas, Sr.; daughter, Patricia 
Ann Smith; son, Larry Douglas, and grandson, Curtis Douglas.

Survivors include children, Helen Craig and husband Mitch, Hosea Douglas, 
Jr., and wife Millicent, Karen Douglas, Dale Douglas and wife Lynn, Michael 
Douglas, Rob Douglas; grandchildren, Michelle Craig, Stephanie Turner, Chris 
Craig, Robert Allen Smith, Paxton Douglas, Jennifer Foran, Heather Douglas, 
Jamie Douglas, and Joseph Dale Douglas, and great grandchildren, Krystan and 
Kara Collins, Zoe and Garytte Foran, Joey Grace Foran, Addison Neihoff, and 
Caeli Smith.

Pallbearers will be Michael Douglas, Rob Douglas, Dale Douglas, Robert 
Smith, Mitch Craig, and Chris Craig. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert 
Hinton, Paxton Douglas, and Kenny Hudson.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM Monday, 
October 13, 2014, at the funeral home.
