He worked as a pipeline welder/ superintendent, and served in the US Marine Corps., during the Korean War. He was a member of New Light Baptist Church, Monroe. Willie Ray was preceded in death by wife, Gilda Jordan Draughn; his father, Volany Sims Draughn; mother, Bessie Malone Draughn; and a daughter, Barbara Ann Draughn Little. He is survived by sons, Danny Ray Moore (Marilyn), Willie D. Draughn (Kim); daughter Raejeana Draughn Jeselink ( Perry); grandchildren, Michael Moore, Christy Payne, Donna Little, Kayne Jeselink, Jenna Summerhill, Matthew Draughn and Justin Draughn; best friend, Dennis Schrock; his two adored pups, Buddy and Baby; and his great grandchildren, Kase, Kannon, Khristian, Dominic, Mauriana, Jordan, who were the apple of his eye; great-great grandson Logan and precious baby girl on the way; and one brother, Robert Draughn . Pallbearers will be, Kayne Jeselink, Matthew Draughn, Justin Draughn, Matthew Summerhill, Shawn Payne, Mitchell Jordan and Jonathan Jordan. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, February 23; visitation will be Sunday, February 22 from 5:00 -7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Lamy Lane, Monroe, Louisiana with burial to follow at Delhi Cemetery with Johnny Miller officiating.
