Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Mrs. Drewett, 74, of Ruston, passed away at her home after a long illness on Friday, June 27, 2014. Margie was born in Marksville, Louisiana, on June 13, 1940 to Flo and Ivy Normand. After graduating from Marksville High School, Margie attended Cottonport Vocational School and after graduation in 1959 began working in Baton Rouge for the State Department of Education. Margie met her husband while he was attending LSU in 1962 and they were married in February 1964. For eight years Margie and Jerry lived in Baton Rouge and moved to Ruston in 1972 where they raised their family. Margie served as a member of St. Thomas Catholic Churches Finance Council and enjoyed participating in the many activities of her church. Margie is survived by her husband, Jerry Drewett, her daughter, Christy Drewett Sternitzky, granddaughter, Taryn Sternitzky and grandson, Kynan Sternitzky; her son, Patrick Drewett, daughter-in-law, Michelle Drewett, grandson's, Brandon Drewett, Daniel Drewett and Beau Drewett all of Ruston; brothers Terry Normand and Nathan Normand and sister Rella Normand Bordelon of Marksville. Pallbearers will be Chad McNeal, Darron McCann, Larry Bahlinger, Larry Buhler, Jimmy Duplechian, David Schnebelen. The family would like to express great love and gratitude to her caregivers who watched over her with tremendous love and care. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, from 5 pm to 7 pm and the wake will begin at 7 pm.
