DUCHESNE, JR. Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA Funeral services for Mr. Edward C. Duchesne, Jr, 88, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Duchesne passed away on Friday, August 8, 2008. Mr. Duchesne was a WWII Veteran. Ed Jr., known as Tuni, to his many nieces and nephews loved to fish and hunt in his early life and made many friends while helping his dad run their grocery bus route in Franklin Parish. In later life, he enjoyed helping Bobbye (known to him as Bob) and Alvin run their grocery store, Bobbye's Grocery on Hwy 15. Mr. Duchesne was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Duchesne, Sr. and Betty Williamson Duchesne, sister, Narvelle Duchesne Fortenberry and husband Horace; brothers, John Macon Duchesne, Willie B. Duchesne and Dewey Duchesne and wife Frances; brother-in-law, Bennie Evans, Sr.; niece, Mary Duchesne Davidson . Survivors include sisters, Bobbye Garvan and husband Alvin and Betty Jo Evans; two sister-in-laws, Eva Duchesne and Velma Duchesne; nephews, Mike Garvan and wife Phyllis, Bennie Evans, Jr. and wife Sharon, Johnny Duchesne and wife Jessie, Dale Duchesne and wife Renee, Gary Duchesne and Charlie Hansford; nieces, Dewanna Duchesne Hughes and husband Mike, Debbie Duchesne Jordan and husband Billy, and Suzonne Evans Underwood and husband Bobby. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, August 10, 2008 at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum. His family will truly miss him and would like to say a special thanks to the five ladies that tended to him as if he were their brother.
