EVELYN HONEYCUTT DUKE Riser Funeral Home Columbia,LA Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Honeycutt Duke, age 86 of Columbia will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 13, 2008 from the First United Methodist Church of Columbia with the Rev. Stuart Sherman officiating. Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Columbia. Mrs. Duke was a retired teacher with the Caldwell Parish School System with over thirty two years of service. She ended her career as Supervisor of School Food Services. She was preceded in death by her husband: former Caldwell Parish Tax Assessor Edgar Duke: her parents: James Ludie and Virgil Ollie Rossitter Honeycutt, her sisters: Charlotte Hogg and Juanita Myhra and her brother: James L. Honeycutt, Jr. Survivors include: her daughters: Theresa Duke Cronin and husband: Russell of Orange, Texas and Paula Duke Light and husband: Richard of South Korea, her sisters: Mildred Honeycutt Jones of Atlanta, GA and Julia M. Honeycutt of Bastrop, LA, her grandchildren: Mary Evelyn Gard and husband: Joseph, and their children: Ella Louise and Rebecca Anne all of League City, Texas; and Sarah Theresa Halfacre of Houston, Texas. Pallbearers will be Donald Duke, Ken Brockner, Tommy Parker, Peter Adams, Eugene Dunn, Tom Gay, Steve May, and Scott Meredith. Honorary pallbearers will be Orvis Harold Watson and Johnny James.
