West Monroe, LA

Graveside services for James Dale Duke, 61, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 
Harris Chapel Cemetery, Olla, LA at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 10, 2009. 
Bro. Donald Wood will officiate under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home, West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Duke was born December 16, 1947 in Monroe, LA and passed away Saturday, 
September 5, 2009. He was employed by Byrnes Mechanical of West Monroe.

Mr. Duke was preceded in death by his parents, D.C. and Carmel Duke.

Survivors include his two daughters, Sherry Duke of West Monroe and Leslie 
Knipping of Dallas, TX; granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth and grandsons, Zachary 
and Jacob Knipping, step-daughter, Sherry Lynn Mason of Little Rock, AR; 
brother, Glen Duke and sister, Shirlane West both of Monroe, his best friend, 
Francis Smith, Jr., and his niece and nephews.

Dale was a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School and a veteran of the United 
States Navy. He enjoyed his dog, his church family and all of his friends, and 
especially the visits with his nephew, Curtis. If you had the opportunity of 
knowing Dale you will remember his special laugh and the smile he always left 
with you. He will surely be missed by many.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or American Heart Association.
