Mr. Dunlap passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, October 26, at his home. He was a decorated U. S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater. He was born May ll, 1918, in Jackson, LA, to Ernest and Gladys Dunlap. In 1947, after returning from the war, he married Lois McIntosh. They moved to Lake Providence, LA, where they raised their two daughters.For 25 years he co- owned and operated Norred-Dunlap International. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, where he severed on the board. A past-president of the Lake Providence Country Club, he also served on the Lake Providence Port Commission and the board of the Deep South Farm Equipment Association. After the death of his first wife, he married Mary Matthews Seal in 1979. Upon retirement, he relocated to Woodville, MS, where he resided until his death. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois McIntosh Dunlap, parents, Ernest and Gladys Dunlap, sisters, Dorothy Grant and Pearl Marie "Pud" Kay, and brother, Charles Dunlap. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary Seal Dunlap, daughters Lesa Cutler and husband David, of Albuquerque, NM, and India Carroll and husband Danny of Ruston, LA, and step-daughter Mary Ann Carter and husband Danny ; step-sonStephen Seal and wife Edine, all of Woodville. He leaves behind eight grandchildren,Carrie Cutler, David Cutler, Carter Carroll, Jennifer Presley, Charles Seal, Laura Lindsey, William Seal, and David Carter, and twelve great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Charles Seal, William Seal, David Carter, Danny Carroll, Carter Carroll, and Tim Lindsey. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Robert Lewis and the caring staff of Field Memorial Hospital, Ms. Shirley Beach, and Mr. Carolyn O"Bierne, for their loving kindness to Mr. Dunlap and his family. Visitation will be held Monday, October 27, 2008, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Newman Funeral Home, Woodville, MS.
