Danny Baskin officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Simsboro, LA under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Clint was born on November 25, 1969 and died August 6, 2017. He was known and loved by many: those who loved the game of football, those who shared his love of fishing and hunting, those he went to school with, those who loved Jesus, especially his community of faith at Salem United Methodist Church, and by those with whom he worked in the lumber and building supply business. Clint graduated from Cedar Creek High School and played football at Southern Arkansas University his freshman year, then Louisiana Tech University for a time. He began his love of selling hardwood lumber at Hogan Hardwoods and was blessed to be taught by "one of the best" Arvin Moeller and loved working with the whole Hogan family. Clint later became "one of the best" and passed on that knowledge to newer employees he worked with at Cedar Creek. Clint was fun-loving, sharing life with friends and family. His relationship with his father was one that sustained him in hard times and turned into a lifelong best-friend relationship that was deeply meaningful to them both. He has been a light in the lives of his family; bringing joy and wisdom to all those around him. Clint is survived by his father and mother, Dude and Charlotte Durrett, two step-children: Kayla and husband Adam Howington; Zach Walthall and wife Amy; one son: Cody Durrett; one grand-daughter: Ava Ray Howington; his sister: Joanie and husband Doug Engemann; two nephews: Don Engemann and Thomas Engemann and one niece Emily Engemann. He had aunts and uncles that he dearly loved as well as his special friend Bethany Reeves. Clint has entered into a world of profound beauty and peace, being more alive than he has ever been. Praise God! Serving as pallbearers will be: Mike Martin, Nicky McCullin, Scott Bradshaw, Mikey Reeves, Jeff Reeves, Dan Lord, Toby Polman and Donald Willett. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Owens Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 11793 Highway 151, Dubach, LA 71235.
