GEORGE C. EASTERLING

West Monroe, LA

Funeral Services for Mr. George C. Easterling, 85, of Ruston, LA. will be 2:00 
PM Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with 
Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park 
Mausoleum.

Mr. Easterling was born November 20, 1923 in Choudrant, LA and passed away on 
March 4, 2009 in Ruston, LA.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason. Mr. Easterling served in the United States Navy 
during WWII aboard USS Osmus DE-701. He was a member of Choudrant United 
Methodist Church, Kappa Sigma Fraternity and "Copasetic" Bunch.

Mr. Easterling is preceded in death by his parents George C. and Ollie Sims 
Easterling; sisters, Louise Roland and Laverne Rudd.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Colleen Parnell Easterling; brother, 
Dewitt Easterling and sister-in-law Barbara; brother-in-law, Morton Parnell; 
three stepchildren, Doug Banks, Buster LeJeune, Anne Fitzgerald and her 
husband Charles; a cherished grandson Charlie Fitzgerald and his wife Ansaley; 
numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jakie Williams, Jack Sanderson, John Lowery, Bo 
Boyd, Victor Hollis, Steve Moore, Eddie Parnell, and Derek Pesnell.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 
Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the loving staff of 
Ruston Nursing and Rehab and PHC Hospice Care of Ruston.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Choudrant United Methodist Church 
or the American Cancer Society.
