GEORGE RAYMOND EDWARDS

A Celebration of Life for Mr. George Raymond Edwards, 71, of Monroe, will be 
11:00 AM Monday, August 31, 2015, in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home in West 
Monroe with Danny Thomas officiating. Interment with Military Honors will 
follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe under the direction of 
Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe.

Mr. Edwards was born January 20, 1944, in Florence, SC and went to be his Lord 
and Savior on August 25, 2015, at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in 
Shreveport, LA. George was a United States Veteran who served in the United 
States Army, 82nd Airborne.

Survivors include his siblings, Horace O. "H.O." Edwards Jr. of Downsville, LA, 
William D. "Pete" Edwards and his wife Toni of Bastrop, LA, Barbara E. Sullivan 
and her husband Harold of West Monroe, LA; children, Tracy McIntosh of TX, 
Wesley R. Edwards of TX, Patricia Salinas of El Paso, TX, and Lawrence Graham 
of Grand Bay, AL; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Monday, August 31, 2015, in the 
chapel of Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe.
