Rev. Neil Everett will officiate, with services under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler. Mrs. Emory died March 18, 2009 in Tyler. She was born December 14, 1924 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Bevis Ogden Richardson and Katherine Helen Hanks Richardson. Mrs. Emory was a loving wife and mother. She was a lifetime member and active participant in the Baptist church. She loved being with her grandchildren and was so proud of each one. Mom was a person of great faith and loved her children, dearly. Her devoted love and commitment to her husband reflected a model Christian marriage and when Mr. Emory retired from Sun Oil Company after (forty) years of service traveled to many interesting places together. Among many other hobbies, gardening was a passion for both, especially Mom's "herb garden". Her participation in her Sunday school class and church at First Baptist West Monroe meant so much to her living life to the fullest. Most all of her conversations with people included her church experience. Her children and grandchildren will greatly miss her inspiration by her absence, but her influence will be deeply imbedded in all our lives for years to come. Her husband, Burbon Ralph Emory, daughter, Sharlotte Sue Shepherd, brother, Kenneth Ogden Richardson and grandson, Morgan Emory Adams precede her in death. Survivors include sons, Rick Emory and wife Dottye of Kilgore and John David Emory and wife Oogii of Alexandria, Va., daughter, Katherine Dennis and husband, William of Alexandria, Va., sister, Gayle Adams and husband Rev. Jesse Adams of San Antonio; grandchildren, Brent Emory, Frank Adams, Will Dennis, John Dennis, and Ashley Emory; great grandchildren, Paige, Peyton and Jack Emory.
