Dr. Tim Neustiffter and Pastor Woodie Hingle will officiate. Inurnment will be in the St. Paul's United Methodist Church Columbarium. Services are under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Susan was born on September 10, 1944 and passed away on March 4, 2016 in Monroe, LA. She was a retired secretary for St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Joseph Paul Griffon and her mother, Helen Kirk Griffon. She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, William Lynnton Ethridge; sons, Lynnton Stuart Ethridge and wife, Debra, and their children Virginia Grace Patterson, John Wallace Patterson, and Lynnton Stuart Ethridge, Jr; William Grant Ethridge and wife Barrie and their sons William Grant Ethridge, Jr. and Samuel Tillman Ethridge; and Stephen Griffon Ethridge and his wife, Jamie and their children Emory McMahon Ethridge and Joseph Griffon Ethridge; sisters, Kay Smart and Martha Townsend; brother-in-law, Dick Ethridge and his wife, Pat; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and dear friends. Susan was a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was a devoted member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Susan's spirit and kind heart touched the lives of everyone she knew. Honorary pallbearers will be Dick Ethridge, Van Pardue, James Stevenson, Tod Cagle, Harry Heroman, Ben Franklin, Morris Funderburg, Jimmy Woods, Tom King, Cookie Cookston, Allen Taylor and Greg Newton. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Keith White, Dr. Charles Morgan, Dr. Mark Napoli, and Shannon Newton, RN with St. Joseph Hospice, for their compassionate care of Susan during this time. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Monday, March 7, 2016 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
