HELEN PITTMAN EVANGELISTA

Helen Pittman Evangelista, 86, was born may 18, 1927 in Holmesville, LA. The 
Angels took her March 11, 2014 from St. Joseph's Nursing Home.

Helen (affectionately known as Nanny) attended Centenary College in Shreveport 
majoring in Nursing until she met & married the Love of her life, Louis 
Evangelista, a World War II Veteran based at Barksdale AFB.

Helen was a wonderful mother, grandmother, hardworking homemaker, great cook, 
loved by friends adn all that knew her. She always had a smile for all she 
met. Even in death, she continues to help others by donating her body to 
science.

Helen was preceeded in death by husband, Louis Evangelista; parents, Homer & 
May Wells Pittman; sister, Marie Allen and brother H.L. Pittman.

Survivors include sons: Robert Evangelista and Lewis Evanagelista and wife 
Jennifer; granddaughters, Renee Kent and husband Jeremy, Lauren Evangelista; 
grandson, Casey Evangelista; great-grandson, Harrison Kent.

The Evangelista Family wishes to thank the Admistration and Staff at St. 
Joseph's Nursing Home and Louisiana Hospice for all the Love and care given to 
our "Sweetheart."
