Eric Hodges officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday at Golden Funeral Home. David was a member of First Baptist Church. He spent many years as a talented hair designer and recently was the designer for four of the Miss Louisiana participants in the Miss America contest. David began dancing at the age of five with the Rolfes' and Brandons' at the Red Shoe Dancing Studio and still enjoyed dancing. He was very active in the Little Theatre for many years and enjoyed singing with the "Generations Spann" directed by Nancy Hall. David is survived by his mother, Joanne Gillen Smith of Bastrop, LA; father, Dan Harp Evans and wife Shirley of Prairieville, LA; brother, Joseph G. Evans of Lake Charles, LA; stepbrothers, Keith and Dale Boudreaux of Baton Rouge, LA and special cousins, Patricia Madden and family. Serving as pallbearers are: Todd Brakefield, David Brakefield, Joe Young, Heath Greer, Charles Evans, Harrie McCollough, Dr. Terry Tugwell and Andy Waldo.
