Clyde Piercy officiating. Burial will be in the Faith Memorial Park Cemetery south of Delhi, LA under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. Visitation will be held at Robinson Baptist Church from 10:00 AM today until time of services. Mr. Evans was a Deacon and Member of Robinson Baptist Church and was an Army Veteran serving in Germany from 1960-1963 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Wayne was a member of the American Legion Post in Monroe, LA. He was retired from Columbia Gulf Transmission Plant in Delhi and was a former EMT who was instrumental in forming the 1st Ambulance Service in Delhi. He is preceded in death by his parents, George W. Evans Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Deggans Evans; three brothers, William "Bill" Evans, Carl Evans and George Evans Jr. and two sisters, Louise Evans and JoAnn Durr. Wayne is survived by his loving wife Patsy Nell Walker Evans of Delhi, LA; three daughters, Kathy Pool and husband Gerald of Calhoun, LA, Tammy Duncan and husband Ricky of Rayville, LA and Stefanie Jolliff and husband Chris of Frisco, TX and six grandchildren, Caleb Pool and wife Kelsey, Ethan Pool, Joshua and Samantha Duncan and Hailey and Makenzie Jolliff. He is also survived by five sisters, Pansy Garner of Monroe, LA, Betty Graham of Delhi, LA, Mary Ford and husband Randy of Delhi, LA, Gladys Cain and husband Bob of Calhoun, LA and Viola Lucas and husband Dwight of Delhi, LA; two brothers, Marvin Evans and wife Naomi of Andalusia, AL and Howard Evans and wife Montiel of Delhi, LA along with numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be David Piercy, Lee Piercy, Mike Piercy, Jason Roberts, John Jinks, Eric Jinks, Jerry Foote and Ken Hales.
