New-York Tribune July 26, 1841
Two men named Parker and Evans were at work in a field at Ouachita, La. a few 
days since, when the latter was ordered from the gound by Parker, who, on his 
refusal to go, seized a gun and shot him dead.  A man named Collier was also 
shot by one Helm at Concordia, La.

Additional Comments:
The Ouachita men were Tarlton Evans and William Parker.  The Concordia men 
could not be identified.  There were two Collier men found on the 1840 census:  
Louis A. and James.  There were no Helms in Concordia found on the census.
