EVERETT Funeral Services for Mrs. Effie B Everett, 82, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 31, 2015 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Lee Thomas and Rev. Andy Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Start Cemetery, Start, LA. Mrs. Everett was born on July 8, 1932 and passed away at her residence on May 27, 2015. She retired from E. A. Conway Hospital, where she worked in Admissions and also in Birth Certificate Filing. Mrs. Everett loved her family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She also loved taking care of her flowers. Mrs. Everett is preceded in death by her son, Morris Paul Everett; granddaughter, Dena Everett and by her nephew, Danny Littleton. Survivors include her sister, Lahonda Littleton and husband, Daniel; brother, Lee Thomas and wife, Sue; children, Dean Everett, Lu Balch and husband, Bob, and Eddie Everett and wife, Penny; grandchildren, Brandi Nugent and husband, Casey, Dee Dee Coley and husband, Carlan, Sunny Mont, Jamie Nelson and husband, John, Megan May, Keri Pollardy and husband, Josh and Cricket Steadman and husband, David; great grandchildren, Destiny Page Nugent, Daimon Holland, Lila Nugent, Daisy Lu Holland, Abram Coley, Nicholas Nelson, Stormy Nelson, Rainey Nelson, Emma Steadman, Ethan Steadman, and Hannah Steadman; special nephew, Troy Littleton; along with numerous other nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dean Everett, Edward Everett, Carlan Coley, Casey Nugent, Donald Howe, and Daniel Littleton. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Everett's wishes were to send memorials to help feed the hungry children of Northeast Louisiana.
