ARCHIE EZELL


Mr. Archie Ezell, 75 of Gilbert, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday,November 29, 1997 
at Calvary Baptist church in Gilbert with the Bro. Jimmy Harper officiating. 
Interment will follow at South Central Cemetery near Wisner under direction of 
Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro. Mr. Ezell died Tuesday, November 
18 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Shreveport. Mr. Ezell was a 
resident of Gilbert and a retired restaurant owner. He served in the U.S. Army 
during WWII. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Gilbert. He was 
preceded in death by his parents: James and Emma Ezell; a half sifter: Versie 
King. 

Survivors include his wife: Hazel Ezell of Gilbert; seven sons: Stan and wife 
Mary, Wayne and wife Donna, all of Winnsboro, Douglas and wife Collis of 
Shreveport, Archie, Jr. and wife Phyllis, Tommy , all of Gilbert, James of 
West Monroe, Jody and wife Donna of Liddieville; one sister: Dollie Hickman of 
Dublin, GA; one brother: Lovie Ezell of Gilbert; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-
grandchildren.
