Kyle Spinks, Bro. Don Blackmon, Bro. Dale Goodman and Bro. Jerry Hunt officiating. Mrs. Donnis was born on September 4, 1927 and passed away on July 7, 2015. She went by other names: Don, Mama, Mamaw, Mother, Aunt Punk, Baby Sis, Granny, Mamoo, Morgan and of course, Lizzie- named after a cookie that's described as all good things rolled into one. In her quiet, no- nonsense way, she took care of her children, their friends, preachers and families, never knowing exactly how many would show up for a meal. Whether tomato gravy and biscuits or dumplings with sweet tea, she made sure everyone was satisfied, always before herself. She was able and devoted partner to Morgan Ezell, which is probably what kept her close to God. She is preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Ezell, Sr.; parents, Lee and Roxie Whittington McIntyre; Sister, Sis Williamson; brothers, Pete, Coop, Man, Shorty, Teedy and Bud McIntyre; grandchildren, Morgan Ezell, III, Dennis Hemphill and Jennifer Robertson; great-grandchildren, Angel Martinez and Rayanna Hodge. She leaves behind to cherish precious memories her son, Morgan Ezell, Jr. (Lavonne) of Springfield, MO; daughters, Peggy Hemphill of Monroe, LA, Elaine McKay (Ken) of Archibald, LA, Reba Ezell of Gilbert, LA, Linda Robertson (Bill) of Winnsboro, LA, Melissa Savage (Bob) of Alexandria, LA; special daughter, Jan Boles of Jigger, LA and brother, Ball McIntyre of Gilbert, LA. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Pallbearers will be Michael Hemphill, Steven Hemphill, Chris Hemphill, Hugh Hodge, Trey Robertson, Elliott Maples and Scott McKay and Scott Ezell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Woods, Gene Brown, Dale McLemore and Riley McLemore. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, July 11th from 11:00 until 2:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Turkey Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
