Sub-Headline: Ervin McBroom Services for Ervin McBroom, 73, of Monroe will be at 3 p.m. today at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Monroe with the Rev. David Terry officiating. Burial will be in Monroe Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. McBroom died Friday at Sterlington General Hospital after a long illness. He was a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church in Olla, VFW No. 7882, in Monroe, and was retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad. Survivors include his sister, Ella Mae McBroom of Monroe, and several nieces and nephews. (NOTE: Ervin was born August 1, 1910, in Urania, LA, to William Columbus and Ella May WILSON MCBROOM.
