Craig Beeman officiating. Interment will follow in New Winnsboro Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 8pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Robert was born May 22, 1933 to the union of Jessie Fain and Clemmie Adams of Liddiville. He is preceded in death by brothers Dorfus Fain and Wilber Fain; sisters Marie Plank and Ann McGary. Loving siblings are sisters; Hazel Beard and Jean Humphries along with her husband Jewell Humphries of Henderson, Texas; along with a brother Noel Fain and wife Marilyn of Benton, LA. He also leaves his wife of 60 years Vina Sue Muckelrath Fain of Winnsboro; daughters Jan Hunter and husband William of Richmond, TX; Lea Ann Walley and husband Mark of Winnsboro and Karen Taylor of Ruston, LA; grandchildren William Hunter and wife Meghan of Cummings, GA; Matt Hunter and wife Kristen of Cummings, GA; Brett Walley and wife Kacie of Winnsboro; Lindsey McKenzie and husband Josh of Winnsboro; Adam Walley and fiancé Chelsey Campbell of West Monroe; John Taylor and Lauren Taylor of Ruston; great grandchildren Baylen Walley, Emmitt McKenzie, Presley and Liam Hunter, Levi Issiac Hunter; along with many nieces and nephews. Robert was an outstanding basketball player and cherished the memories of his years played at Ogden High School. Until recently, he could recall the statistics of many of his games. He went on to play at ULM after high school, but committed to service and joined the Army. He enjoyed coaching his daughters, and when his grandchildren started playing sports, he rarely missed a game. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed many times at Big Willow Hunting Club of which he was president for many years. He was also an active member of First Baptist Church of Winnsboro where he served as a deacon. He also served the community as an active Gideon. He was a retired self-employed petroleum Land Man. "Daddy Bob" as he was known to many, understood the value of family and his greatest joys and legacies are those of memories with them. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, great grandfather, and uncle. He understood and exemplified a simple life of hard work, service to others, respect for his county and the value of relationships with those he loved. Although a quiet gentleman, he truly enjoyed fellowship with friends and family and used sports and hunting as a means to teach many life lessons to his daughters and grandchildren, along with their friends. Serving as pallbearers will be: Will Hunter, Matt Hunter, Brett Walley, Adam Walley, John Taylor, Josh McKenzie, Blake McManus and Jurgen Fain.
