She was born September 7, 1929, in Monroe, Louisiana to H.B. and Rachel Zeagler. Anita was a lifelong educator teaching in Monroe at Ouachita High School, River Oaks School, and Northeast Louisiana University, and always willing to tutor her grandchildren in math. In addition, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Iota, a teacher sorority. Anita was a member of First United Methodist Church in Monroe and Coker United Methodist Church in San Antonio. She enjoyed watching and rooting for the Spurs, water aerobics, lunching and socializing at the Senior Center, traveling, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Anita was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Everett Zeagler and his wife Dorothy, and Arnold "Buddy" Zeagler. She is survived by her son, Rev. Dean Fleming and wife Martha; daughter, Janet Halmrast and husband Larry; sister- in-law, Dorothy "Dot" Zeagler; and grandchildren Steven, Amy and Kevin Fleming and Stephanie and Rebecca Olfert. MEMORIAL SERVICE, SATURDAY, JUNE 17, 2017, 2:00 PM, COKER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 231 E. NORTH LOOP ROAD, SAN ANTONIO, TX.
