Flint was born on October 3, 1918 at home near Mangham, LA the second of ten children. She married Lawrence Leroy Flint on April 10, 1937 and together they made their home in the Dunn area of Richland Parish where she raised her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband; a son, SPC E4Troy Lee "Bill" Flint US Army; a great grandson, William James Lawrence Stakelum; her parents, Monroe Edward Brown and Annie Adella Nobles Brown; four brothers, Randle Rundell Brown, Ervin Gene Brown, Monroe Noble Brown, and Edward Ray "Jack" Brown; and one sister, Pearlie Weems. She is survived by a daughter, Irma Lee Flint Perryman and husband Floyd Mac of Calhoun, LA; two sons, James Roy Flint and wife Kim of Laneville, TX, and Jackie Lynn Flint and wife Gloria of West Monroe, LA. She is also survived by eight grand children and two great grandchildren; Rachel Lee Perryman Stakelum and husband James Lee, Roy Mac Perryman and wife Robin; Christy Lynn Flint and Donald Faves, Jacqueline Marie Flint, Sgt. James Corbett Flint USMC, James Edward Flint and wife Kelli, Cody Ray Flint and wife Holly, Tiffany Haynes Flint, Drew Skylar Faves and Hannah Marie Faves; one brother, Erwin Cecil Brown and wife Beth of Baskin, LA; three sisters, Myrtle Haire and Jewel Dear both of Rayville, LA, and Edna Southall of Archibald, LA; three sisters-in- law, Emiko Brown of Rayville, LA , Joyce Brown of Monroe, LA and Sybil Brown of Baskin, LA and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 17, 2008 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness Congregation, 158 Cross Road, Delhi, LA . Bro. Huey Hughes and Bro. Mark Singleman will deliver the funeral discourse. Burial will be in Faith Memorial Park Cemetery south of Delhi. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M.- 8 PM, Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Cox Funeral Home in Delhi. Pallbearers will be Roy Mac Perryman, James Corbett Flint, James Edward Flint, Cody Ray Flint, Thomas Edward Haire and Terry Haire.
