Larry Eubanks and Bro. Woodson McGuffee officiating. Interment will follow in Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens Cemetery, West Monroe. Mr. Franks was born March 20, 1926 in Melder, LA and passed away May 30, 2016 in Pineville, LA. He was a Navy Veteran who served in search and rescue where he received the Phillippine Liberation Ribbon and the One Star Victory Ribbon. He was a retired contractor for Shell Oil as well as a retired delivery driver for Johnny's Pizza where he worked for 19 years and made many friends. Mr. Franks was a member of Cypress Baptist Church. He is proceeded in death by his first wife of 51 years, Janie Bell Franks; parents, John and Pearl Franks; son, Ron Franks; daughter, Rhonda Gail Franks; brother, Ivan Franks; sister, Jeanette Franks Broussard. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Eloise Franks; son, Bill Franks and wife Wanda; daughter, Kimberly Franks Creech and husband, Ronald; brother, J.C. Franks; daughter -in-law, Kathy Franks; grandchildren, Stephanie Franks, Greg Franks, David Franks and wife Rachel, Jessica Franks and fiancé Michael Hair, Tabitha Freeman and husband Josh, and Aimee Creech; great grandchildren, Isaiah Adkins, Kolton Franks, Maddie Freeman, Eva Marie Henry, Lizzie Pope, H.S. Parker, and Matthew Hair; a host of nieces, nephews, step children, and friends. Pallbearers will be Greg Franks, David Franks, Bobby Brister, Ronald Creech, Isaiah Adkins, and Ken Farmer. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time, Thursday, June 2, 2016.
