FRENCH, JR. Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA Services for Arden O. French, Jr., 74, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 16, 2009, at Grace Episcopal Church, Monroe, with Rev. Gregg Riley officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mr. French was born in Baton Rouge, LA on September 11, 1934 and died at Glenwood Regional Medical Center on February 13, 2009. He was a graduate of the LSU School of Forestry and President of Sigma Chi Fraternity. His career in the Insurance Industry began in Baton Rouge with Pan American Life and continued for the next forty years. As an avid outdoorsman, he cherished his time hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. Mr. French was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dean Arden O. French and Roberta Grigsby French. Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Cathi Harris French; brother, David Lon French and wife Olive; sons, David Marshall French and wife Elizabeth, and Robert L. French and wife Lori; daughters, Sarah Elizabeth French, and Ginger French Shemwell and husband Clay; beloved grandchildren, David Morgan French and wife Natalie, Kelly Elizabeth French, Virginia Blair Shemwell, Harris Edward French, and Charlie Elizabeth French. Pallbearers will be Stephen Haedicke, Jerry Barnes, Scott Hill, David French, Bob French, Morgan French, and Clay Shemwell. Visitation will be in Kilbourne Hall from 10:00 AM until service time Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the A. O.
