Jeff Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Start Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville. Mrs. Edna was born August 2, 1933 and passed away June 23, 2016. She was a longtime member of Start Baptist Church where she served as the secretary for many years. Mrs. Edna loved her Sunday School Class, singing in the choir, helping with Vacation Bible Schools, and the WMU, and teaching and assisting with many activities that would strengthen her church as long as she was able. Mrs. Edna loved her long time friends and enjoyed getting together with them to play Phase 10 and Mexican train dominos. She loved to travel, sew, crochet, read, and work word puzzles. She was supportive of mission work and delighted in crocheting children's caps for XMA mission trips. She loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were the apple of her eye and will miss her dearly but her memory will forever be cherished in their hearts. Mrs. Edna is preceded in death by husband, Mitchell Funderburk; her parents, John Wesley and Mabel Moore Davis; and her four brothers, John Walter, Gordan Edward, Robert Lee, and James Harlan Davis. Survivors include her three daughters, Debra Creel and husband, Danny of Pineville, LA, Denise Parks and husband, Terry of Monroe, LA, and Pat Crow and husband, Carl of Ashland, MO; son, Michael Funderburk and wife, Niki of Start, LA; granddaughter, Megan Creel of Shreveport, LA; six grandsons, Kevin Crow and wife, Ashleigh of Raymore, MO, Keith Crow and wife, Sislye of Washington, IL, Matthew Creel of Alexandria, LA, Caleb Parks of Monroe, LA, Michael Funderburk and Logan Funderburk of Start, LA; and three great grandchildren, Lillie Crow and Austin Crow of Raymore, MO, and Nolan Crow of Washington, IL. Pallbearers will be Kevin Crow, Keith Crow, Matthew Creel, Caleb Parks, Jerry Richey, and Tony Overstreet. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Start Baptist Church Building Fund or to XMA missions. The family would like to express our thanks to the nurses and staff at Ouachita Healthcare Center for the care they provided to Mom this past year.
