Interment will follow in Old Town Cemetery, Haynesville, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville, LA. Visitation will be held Friday, August 10, 2012 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Garrett was born on November 2, 1926 to James Carl and Vivian Sims McEachern in Haynesville, LA and passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. She was a homemaker, member of the Haynesville United Methodist Church where she was a primary Sunday School teacher and Bible School teacher for over 25 years, a member of the UMW Organization and choir. She loved to play Bridge and support the Golden Tornado Quarterback Club. Her greatest love was taking care of her family. She adored her family and they loved her just as much. She was a Christian role model for all who knew her. She is survived by three sons, Richie Garrett and wife Susan of Monroe, LA, Mark Garrett and wife Patty of Shreveport, LA, Tommy Garrett and wife Kelley of Haynesville, LA; granchildren, Tracie Ates and husband Bryan of Pace, FL, Jennifer Horrell and husband Danny of O'Fallen, MO, Katie French and husband Bryce of New Orleans, LA, Summer Bennett and husband J.J. of McKinney, TX, Christopher Garrett and wife Tyhler of Charlotte, NC, Sydney Garrett and Patrick Garrett both of Haynesville, LA; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Addison, Amanda, Morgan, Ashton; sister, Carlynn Paulovich of Haynesville, LA; brother-in-laws, Harold Garrett of Baton Rouge, LA, and Charles Garrett and wife Nora of Haynesville, LA. Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Sidney Garrett and sister, Dorothy Hoopes. Memorials may be made to Haynesville United Methodist Church, P. O.
