Mulhearn Funeral Home

West Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mr. Exell L. Gewin, 84, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 
10:00 AM Thursday, February 19, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
West Monroe with Rev. Danny McIlveene and Robert Lindsay officiating. Interment 
will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Gewin was a member of Community Baptist Church and was a lifelong resident 
of West Monroe, LA. He served in the United States Army during the Battle of 
the Bulge with the 9th Army 30th Infantry. He retired from Manville after 35 
years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores Gewin; two daughters, Barbara Gewin of West 
Monroe and Janis Gewin Richardson and husband, Charles of Calhoun, LA; two 
grandchildren, Adam Richardson and wife Amanda of West Monroe and Sarah Rulau 
and husband, Lance of Shreveport, LA; three great grandchildren; and sister, 
Ezell Grayson of Monroe.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class at Community Baptist 
Church.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral 
Home, West Monroe.

Memorials may be made to Community Baptist Church Building Fund.
