Giddens 100, of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Farmerville Church of Christ with Rev. Harold Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill -Taylor cemetery in Farmerville. Visitation will be from 5:00PM to 8:00PM on January 2, 2007 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville. Born on December 15, 1906 she was the eldest of five children born to Jesse and Lillie Brantley. She passed away on December 31, 2006 of natural causes. Preceding her in death were her parents, her brothers, Carnie and Jim Brantley, her husband of fifty-seven years, Charles P, two grandson, Noel Brent Giddens and Charles Marion Giddens and two daughters-in-law, Earline Giddens and Elsie Giddens. Survivors include her children, Wayne P. (Erma Jean) Giddens of Farmerville LA; Billy G. (Patricia) Giddens of Levelland, TX; Fern (Robert) Nelson of Levelland, TX; Jesse G. ( Faye) Giddens of Farmerville, LA; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Fern Norris of Lafayette, LA; Starline Hill of West Monroe, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. "Mrs. Loma" was the manager of Farmerville High School Cafeteria for over thirty years. She had fond memories of her kids that she fed over the years. She was a member of the Farmerville Church of Christ and attended faithfully as long as her health permitted. Pallbearers are John W. Giddens, Randy Giddens, Jesse G. Giddens, Jr., James B. Giddens, Ryan Giddens, and Jacob Rockett. Honorary pallbearers are Brad Taylor, Derek Taylor, Bret Padgett, Stein Baughman, Jr., Chiles Carpenter, W.D. Clinton, Billy Anderson, Joe Preaus and Louis Mashaw. The family expresses appreciation to Farmerville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Dr. A.C. Wadlington for the loving care administered to their loved one.
