OTTA ESTELLE BAKER GILBERT

Mulhearn Funeral Home

West Monroe, LA

Funeral service for Mrs. Otta Estelle Baker Gilbert, 91, of West Monroe will 
be held at 2:00 PM Saturday August 2, 2008 at St. Pascal's Catholic Church 
with Rev. Frank Coens officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn 
Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West 
Monroe.

Mrs. Gilbert was born July 10, 1917 and passed away on August 1, 2008. She was 
a member of St. Pascal's Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She is preceded in death by her husband, W.W. "Bill" Gilbert, Jr.; parents, 
Carson and Edna Baker; brothers, Clayton M. and Alvie W. Baker; and sisters 
Audie L. Martindale and Opal L. Simmons.

Survivors include her children, Joyce Sharp and husband Walter of West Monroe, 
James Gilbert and wife Evelyn of Monroe, Dr. Danny Gilbert and wife Debbie of 
Monroe, and Matt Gilbert and wife Anne of West Monroe; sister, Billie L. 
Hassion of Alexandria, LA; grandchildren, Rhonda Cook of Tickfaw, LA, Garland 
Waites, Jr. and Yvette Rhodes of Gulfport, MS, John David Gilbert of Houston, 
TX, Erin Turner and husband Joel of Monroe, Ashley Ussery and husband Chris of 
Denham Springs, LA, Nathan Gilbert and wife Emily of Baton Rouge, LA, Justin 
Gilbert and Anthony Gilbert of West Monroe; eight great grandchildren, Kevin 
Parker of Tickfaw, LA, Kasey Cook of Loranger, LA, Luke Cook and wife Mandy of 
Dacula, GA, Jessica and Trey Waites of Ponchatoula, LA, Morgan and Patrick 
Turner of Monroe, and Chloe and Noah Ussery of Denham Springs, LA; three 
great, great grandchildren, Kaliegh Parker, Megan Prine, and Matthew St. 
Romaine of Loranger, LA.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Gilbert's grandsons.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ronald Koepke, Dr. 
Samer Roy, Patients Choice Hospice and the staff of Glenwood Medical Center.
