TERESA E. GILBERT

Funeral Mass Celebrating the Life of Teresa E. Gilbert, 56, of West Monroe, LA 
will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 21, 2017 at the St. Paschal Catholic 
Church in West Monroe, LA with Fr. Frank Coens officiating. Interment will 
follow in the St. Paschal Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn
Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Teresa was born on April 17, 1961 in Portsmouth, VA and passed away on April 17
17, 2017. She was employed with the Ouachita Parish School System as a Se
Secondary Special Education Supervisor. Teresa was a lover of God and family. Sh
She was the youngest of five children, one boy and four girls. She was and has al
always been referred to as the "Baby". She was anything but! Teresa was one of th
the strongest women, sometimes carrying the load of the world on her shoulders, bu
but you would have never known. She loved her two children and grandchildren de
deeply. Teresa was always there for her family and if you were lucky enough to be
be considered extended family, you were also a recipient of that love. After a wo
wonderful Easter weekend with family, God called Teresa home to be her father an
and mother, George and Mary Gilbert and oldest sister, Janice Fletcher. We know th
they were waiting for her with open arms. She will be missed by all who knew he
her, but the greatest heartbreak of all will be her children and especially Ja
Jackson and Mason. They will never share in the overwhelming smile, compassion an
and grace that was their precious, "Grand T". The family asks for your co
continued prayers.

Survivors include her daughter, Hannah Martin Mayes and husband Kurt; son, 
Jesse Richard Martin and fiancé Shannon Lea O'Shea; grandsons, Jackson Roark 
Mayes and Mason Briar Mayes; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Vicki Gilbert; 
sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Glenn Hummel; sister and brother-in-law, 
Barbara and Donny Hulderson; and several nieces and nephews, nieces include Crys
Crystal Cromwell, Kacey Read, Sarah Gregory and Alexandra Hummel.

Pallbearers will be her nephews Jeff Gilbert, Doug Fletcher, Jamie Gilbert, Jo
Josh Bagwell, Forrest Hummel, Caleb Bagwell, and Brooks Hummel.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 20, 2017 
at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to St. Paschal Catholic Church and St. Jude Children's Rese
Research Hospital.
