Delhi, LA

Graveside services for Mrs. Mona Lee Gilliland, 100, of Delhi will be held at 
10:00 AM, Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Delhi Masonic Cemetery officiated by Rev. 
Chris Thomas with eulogy by son-in-law Charles Merka.

Visitation will be held at the cemetery from 9:30 AM Friday until time of 
services.

Mrs. Gilliland was born on December 27, 1908 in Franklin Parish, LA. to the 
late Neal McEacharn, Sr. and Eliza Elizabeth Smith McEacharn.

She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur John Kennedy, and Dr. O. 
I. Gilliland; five brothers, Neal Jr., Ernest, Frank, Russell and Stanley 
McEacharn and three sisters, Sally Stephens, Ulma Phillips and Zelma Strong.

She is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Kennedy Merka and husband Charles 
of Mt. Pleasant, TX. and Jo Ann Schmidt and husband John of Delhi, LA., three 
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bud LaPrarie, Doyle McEacharn, Bruce McEacharn, 
Mike McEacharn, David McEacharn, Kenneth McEacharn, Mike Wilson, Fred 
McEacharn, James McEacharn, J. S. McEacharn, Max Dixon and David Nichols.

Any planned memorials may be made to the Delhi United Methodist Church.
