He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the US Navy. He graduated from Mississippi College and obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University. He retired from the University of Louisiana at Monroe as director of the Social Work program. He was an avid ULM sports fan and supporter. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Eva Claire Nickels Ginn. He is survived by two children, Mike Ginn and wife Simone Guerin Ginn, Nancy Ginn Cueria and husband Mike Cueria; four grandchildren, Ryan Ginn, Rachel Ginn Mullett and husband Stephen Mullett, Danielle Cueria, and Missy Cueria; and great granddaughter Eris Elizabeth Mullett (who was born the day of his death). Visitation will be held at Northminster Church, 2701 Lamy Lane, Monroe, LA, on June 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. until memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will be in Northminster Memorial Garden.
