VAUDIE M. GOODEN 

Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA 

Funeral services for Ms. Vaudie M. Gooden, age 68, will be 2:00 P.M., 
Thursday, July 16, 2009, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West 
Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Ricky Gresham and Rev. Joel Brackett. 
Interment will follow in St. Pascal Cemetery in West Monroe, LA under the 
direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Ms. Gooden was born on 
December 8, 1940 in Mangham, LA and passed away on July 14, 2009 in West 
Monroe, LA. Ms. Gooden was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and 
sister. She loved spending time with her family, she loved fishing and eating 
crawfish. Ms. Gooden will be remembered most for her unselfish love and 
devotion to her family. Those that knew her will never forget the love that 
was shown through her beautiful smile. Her eyes reflected the joy her family 
and friends brought to her life each time she smiled. Ms. Gooden was a 
resident of Landmark Nursing Home for the past eight years. The family would 
like to thank the staff for the love and excellent care she received there. 
The family would also like to thank Dr. Floyd Jones and his staff. She is 
survived by her daughter; Dolly Myers and husband Leonard of West Monroe, son; 
Wayne Gooden and wife Sherry of West Monroe, sisters; Bobbie Woolsey and 
husband Robert of Rocky Branch, Doris Collins of Winnfield, grandchildren; 
Brandy Grant and husband Jereme of Monroe, Jamie Kirkland and husband Gary of 
Calhoun, Casey Gooden and wife Jennifer of West Monroe, Colt Gooden and wife 
Natalie of Rocky Branch, Garrett Gooden, Carah Gooden, Mandy Myers, Joey Myers 
all of West Monroe. Also survived by eight great grandchildren and numerous 
nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., 
Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. 
Pallbearers will be Casey Gooden, Garrett Gooden, Colt Gooden, Joey Myers, 
Michael Chappell, Stephen Jeselink, Jarod Jeselink. Honorary pallbearers will 
by Christopher Chappell, Rob Woolsey.
