She was born November 17, 1935 in Monroe, LA. A lover of life and learning, she was a 1954 graduate of Neville High School, head majorette, and proud to have recently attended her 60th class reunion with lifelong friends. Margaret was a Phi Mu at LSU where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Education and was a graduate school history major under T. Harry Williams. Incredibly dedicated to her family, she was proceeded in death by her parents Culbert and Ruth Moore Lee of Monroe, LA and brother-in-law, the Reverend Dr. Dan Frank Goodwin of Kilgore, TX. Survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James Randall Goodwin; four children and spouses: James Randall "Randy" Goodwin, Jr. and Suzanne (Fetzer), LeeAnn Goodwin Kozan and David, Margaret Lynn Goodwin Savoie and Lewis, Garland Katherine Goodwin Wilson and William "Billy"; grandchildren: Natalie Morgan Goodwin, Margaret Richardson Savoie, Katherine Alexandra Kozan, Wilhelmina Tate Wilson, Randall William Wilson; and dearest cousin Dr. Lynn Zoll Tucker Myer. Margaret cherished her friends dearly. She was an active member of her community serving in the Junior League of Baton Rouge, Potpourri Study Club, Les Saison Dance Club, Charity Ball Association, Daughters of the American Revolution, Board Member for LSU Hilltop Arboretum, Rotary Club Inner Wheel, President of Oak Hills Civic Association, Oak Hills Lake Association, and was a fan and supporter for Of Moving Colors Productions. She loved and proudly shared her community with others as a CRS and GRI certified realtor with Coldwell Banker One. Margaret was passionate in her faith, was a 50 year member of First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge, member of the Barry Phillips Crossroads Sunday School Class, Women of the Church Circle 10, and served with Outdoor Ministries. She was hospitable in ways that are legendary, the epitome of a southern lady, and persistently motivated by the love of Jesus Christ. Visitation will be at First Presbyterian Church, 763 North Blvd. on Thursday, November 13, 4:30-7:00pm and Friday, November 14, 9:30 until service at 11:00am. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pall bearers will be: Lewis Pierre Savoie, David Wayne Kozan, William "Billy" Stanley Wilson, Charles Stevens Myer, Jr. Bilwood Smith, Jr., Jason Aaron Lewis, and Eric Bradford Tucker. Honorary pall bearers are: Charles Stevens "Stevey" Myer, Thomas Louis Virgets, Edgar "Ned" Milton Clark, Robert "Bob" Lee Pettit, Stanton Pendery Gibbens, Laurence "Larry" Waddill Brooks, Eugene Hamilton Owen, and Thomas Brewer Godfrey, Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church Outdoor Ministries or a charity of choice .
