JAMES ROBERT GOODWIN

Funeral Services for James "Jimmy" Robert Goodwin will be held at 10:00 AM, 
Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1200 Lamy Lane, in Monroe 
with Rev. Neil Everett officiating. Private interment will follow at Hasley 
Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of 
Monroe.

Mr. Goodwin was born on November 10, 1947 in West Monroe, LA and passed away on 
March 27, 2016 in West Monroe, LA. He served in the 11th Lt. Inf. Brigade with 
the AMERICAL DIVISION in the U. S. Army and received the Purple Heart for his 
brave service. He was the owner/operator of Jim-Bob's Firearms in West Monroe. 
Jimmy was a musician and loved to play the drums and also loved tinkering with 
his sports cars. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener and will be 
missed by his pool playing buddies. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy 
B. Goodwin and his parents, Clarence Goodwin and Connie Hatten.

He is survived by his children, Frank Allen Goodwin, Chadwick Jay Goodwin and 
wife, Michelle and Natasha Valentine and husband, Chad; grandchildren, Connor 
Jay Goodwin, Mason Andrew Goodwin, and Abigail May Valentine; sisters, Millie 
Funderburk and Jerry Goodwin.

Jimmy would request that any flower or memorial donations be made to any 
veteran organization.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday, 
March 30, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
