RUBY NELL GORDY

Ruby Nell Gordy, 78, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Services will be 
held on Friday, July 19.2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Magnolia Baptist Church, 
Winnsboro, Louisiana.Mrs. Gordy enjoyed traveling and going to the ballet. She 
spent several years living overseas where she taught military children. She was 
a graduate of Winnsboro High School and Northwestern University where she 
earned her Master's Degree in English and Education. She served as 
valedictorian both in high school and college. She is survived by her sister in 
law; Mary C. Gordy, nephews; Keith Gordy (Mary), Ronny Gordy (Suzanne), and 
Brent Gordy. She is also survived by her niece; Tammy Gordy Swedenburg, uncle; 
Bobby Finch (Elise), and several great nieces and nephews. Ms. Gordy was 
preceded in death by her parents; Charlie Judson Gordy and Irene Finch Gordy 
Brent. Sebrell Funeral Home of Ridgeland, MS is in charge of arrangements.
