MR. DONALD C. GOVANG 

Mulhearn Funeral Home August West Monroe, LA 

Memorial service for Mr. Donald C. Govang, 85, of West Monroe, LA, will be 
held at 11:00AM Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at St. Paschal's Catholic Church 
with Rev. Mike Haney officiating. A private family graveside service will also 
be held Wednesday under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe. 
August Mr. Govang passed away at his residence on July 30, 2006. He was a 
member of St. Paschal's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Mr. Govang 
was a Navy veteran of WWII serving in Bougainville and Guadalcanal. He was 
very active in the Little Theatre and enjoyed performing for the Young Stage. 
Mr. Govang was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in 
death by his loving wife of 58 years, Marguerite. Survivors include his 
children, Regina Shimonski, Fran Burgess, Nan Cogburn, and Donald Govang, Jr.; 
grandchildren, Sarah Haden, Jill Burroughs, Shawn Burgess, Eric Burgess, Abby 
Cogburn, and Will Cogburn; great grandchildren, Leland Holton, Bayleigh Haden, 
and Lauren Haden; and sister, Lorraine Gentile. Online Registry/Condolences
