She spent most of her 88 years as a resident of West Monroe. The words that come to mind when looking upon the life of Kat are strength and dedication. She was strong and dedicated in her beliefs, opinions, and her loves. No matter the situation or who was present, Kat held firm to what she knew was right and true. Inside her one small body, was a mother, grandmother, worthy adviser, friend to many, and self proclaimed political super-analyst. Kat loved to laugh, loved to debate, and loved the Lord. She was a patriot. Her faith was strong, through losing her husband and the many struggles of life. She could always be counted on for an encouraging word or some good advice. Kat was a rock, and her family and friends knew where she stood all the time. In a time of need, she was there. In a time of hurt, she was there. Not a harder or more dedicated worker lived, and Kat spent the last 25 years, before she became ill, running the office for her grandson John Lambert at A-1 Fiberglass Pools. The measure of a person's life lives in what they do for others. Upon becoming sick, Kat was surrounded by others there to help. She was good fruit. The family would like to give special thank you to Mae Myles, who was a dedicated friend to the family for decades. The love and care Mae has provided to Kat was beyond what could be asked. The family would also like to give a special thank you to Kat's friend and neighbor, Linda Allison. Katherine Goyne was born December 10, 1920 at Blue Springs, AR.
