She grew up and attended school in the area. She married Ronald A. Hale in June of 1948. They traveled until retirement from the Air Force; living in the Phillipines, Florida, Montana, Alaska, and Arizona. After retirement they settled and built a home in Southworth, Washington where they lived for 20 years. During her life she was an accomplished musician and singer. She was also a Real Estate Broker and loved playing music in a band with Ron throughout their life together. Her interests were gardening, crocheting and her church. Our mother succumbed to kidney disease on November 12, 2008. All who knew her know what a special, loving, and gifted person she was and truly an inspiration. The world was a better place with her present. We are better people for having her influence and strong values in our lives. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her three children, Author Hale and wife, Kanda of Washington, Mitchell Hale and wife, Debbie of Alaska and Ronni Marzolf and husband, Bill of Louisiana; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Jesse of Epps, LA and Eva of Monroe; brother, John of Florida; and numerous other family.
